Dear Secret Santa,
I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to you because my family is going through a very tough time, and I’m hoping that you might be able to help us with a special wish this holiday season.
Recently, my dad lost his job when the company he worked for ran out of positions. He has been searching for a new job, but has yet to find one. My mom works hard, but her income doesn’t cover all of our expenses, and they are both feeling a lot of stress trying to pay bills, rent, food, and gas. With the holidays approaching, the situation is becoming even more overwhelming for our family. My grandparents, who are staying with us, are also not working and try to help with groceries when they can, but it’s been tough for everyone.
We are hoping that Secret Santa might be able to help grant some of our wishes. Here are a few things that would make a huge difference for us:
For the kids: Winter jackets, rain boots, warm sweaters, and some fun gifts like Barbie toys (my daughter loves Barbie, dancing, and knitting), Sonic the Hedgehog items, Hot Wheels, and superhero toys for my son. The teens also need warm clothing, rain jackets, and would love Lego sets—especially Harry Potter-themed or any Lego cars. They’ve also been dreaming of having a trampoline.
For my dad: Winter clothing and shoes.
For my mom: Some cooking pans, a coffee maker, a winter jacket, and rain boots.
For my grandparents: Winter jackets and warm sweaters.
If we were able to receive these items, it would truly make a difference for our family. It would ease some of the financial pressure and make Christmas extra special, especially for the kids. Having warm clothing and shoes for the cold weather would help my parents and grandparents feel more comfortable during this tough time.
