Dear Secret Santa,
I am writing to share a holiday wish on behalf of a teenage girl living in a hardworking single-parent household. She lives with her mother and two siblings, and the family faces ongoing challenges, including moderate to severe mental health needs that require constant care, patience, and resilience. Despite these difficulties, she remains determined to do well in school and does her best to keep her spirits high.
Her mother works well beyond a 40-hour week to provide for the family, yet limited transportation adds daily obstacles. As the holidays approach, access to food has become a serious concern. What this young person wishes for most is the chance for her family to come together and create a meaningful, comforting holiday—one filled with warmth, connection, and familiar traditions.
Grocery store gift cards would make a tremendous difference for this family. They would help relieve some of the financial strain and allow her mother to prepare traditional holiday meals, something that brings great joy and comfort to her children. Reducing this burden would open the door to a happier, healthier, and more memorable Christmas for the entire family.
Thank you for taking the time to listen and for the generosity you share through this program. Your kindness has the power to ease stress, restore hope, and make the season brighter for a family that truly needs it.
With heartfelt thanks,
Secret Santa
